A delegation from the Capital Police Directorate recently visited New York Police Department (NYPD) in USA, to take note of the latest and best practices applied by the latter in fields of security and police work. The visit also aimed to perform comparisons between the work of both entities.
Major Yusuf Abdullah Al Ahmed, from the Capital Police Directorate noted that the visit reflects the strategy of Abu Dhabi General Headquarters in exchanging experiences, gain exposure to latest developments in the police work, and coordinate and cooperate in fields of mutual interest.
He said that the Capital Police Directorate was briefed during the visit about the work of several units in NYPD with the aim of learning and acquiring practical experiences in police work. The visiting delegation also took note about the mechanisms adopted by police centers, patrols, and community police.
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation presented a memorial shield to NYPD Chief, and expressed their appreciation to the multi-faceted mutual cooperation between Abu Dhabi Police and NYPD.
