The UAE Athletics Federation celebrated the great achievement attained by Rashed Butti Al Qubaisi, former runner in the UAE Athletics Team, and coach for the Abu Dhabi Police Team, who ranked first in the Spartan Race, which was held in the Kingdom of Bahrain earlier this month, representing the United Arab Emirates and the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.
Major Saad Awad Al Mehri, Secretary General of the UAE Athletics Federation, praised runner Rashed Butti Al Qubaisi’s achievement, which is testament to the UAE Nationals' capability to achieve innovation and excellence in Gulf and international arenas.
Runner Al Qubaisi received a shield and a certificate of appreciation from the Moroccan Olympic champion Said Aouita, Sports Advisor at the UAE Federation of Athletics, in the ceremony that was attended by a number of sports officials from the UAE and abroad.
Also attending the ceremony were Captain Rashid Mohamed Al Amine Sak, Al Jazeera Club coach, and Abu Dhabi Police Team, as well as the former athletic Advisor at the Police Sports Federation.
