The United Arab Emirates celebrates the International Day of Civil Defense 2013, on Monday, the 4th of March, under the slogan “Civil Defense and Civil Societies for the Prevention of Disasters”.
For this end, the Higher Organizing Committee for the celebration had held its last meeting at the General Directorate of Civil Defense GHQ. The meeting, chaired by Colonel Dr. Jassem Mohammed Al Midrib, Director General of Firefighting, Protection and Public Safety at the Directorate, was attended by all members.
The meeting addressed the arrangements and ongoing preparations for the celebrations. It also reviewed the scientific work papers submitted by the participating parties at the Scientific Forum, held at the Yas Hotel, and attended by prestigious elite of experts and specialists in the field of civil defense.
