Saif bin Zayed Meets Officer chosen as FIFA World Cup Referee
Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior met Lieutenant Colonel Ali Hamad Madhad Saif Al Badwawi from Dubai Police General Headquarters at his office; Al Badwawi was chosen as a referee for the FIFA World Cup, which will take place in Brazil, in 2014.
His Highness congratulated Lt. Colonel Al Badwawi, expressing his happiness to have a police officer chosen as an international referee, who will represent the country with honor. In his turn, Lt. Colonel Al Badwawi expressed his pleasure for being received by His Highness Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior.
Lt. Colonel Al Badwawi said: “His Highness’ guidance is my medal of honor and beacon that will guide my work during my participation in the World Cup matches.”
The meeting was also attended by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of His Highness, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Major General Dr. Abdul Quddus Obaidly, Director, General Department of Total Quality in the Dubai Police.
