The hunter radar was able to capture two dangerously speeding vehicles on the highways of Abu Dhabi during the last week, according to police sources.

The two vehicles were caught doing 252km/h and 244 km/h respectively

The penalty for this traffic violation reached of AED 2000 fine, 12 back points and impounding the vehicle for one month, said Major Mohsen Bakheit Al Menhali, head of highway section at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police.

Referring to the efforts being made by Directorate in this regard, Al Menhali also  stressed that control has been intensified on the highways to crack down on  ‘reckless’ motorists who endanger their lives and those of others. He also called on motorists to drive within the speed limit posted on the roads.
