The Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate held a road safety campaign to educate the public during the closing day of HH President of the UAE Polo Cup, which was recently organized at Ghantoot Racing and Polo Club in Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi Police’s participation is in pursuance of their methodology to interact with community members and participate in all sports and societal activities; in order to provide advice and guidance to motorists and road users.
Lt. Colonel Jamal Salem Al Ameri, Chief of Public Relations Section at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, emphasized the valuable role of this awareness campaign during this popular and widely attended sports event in enhancing communication with the public and increasing their traffic safety culture; with a view to improve driving behaviors of road users and all segments of society.
He also added that the educational program included organizing a free drawing pavilion for children; distribution of awareness-raising publications to prevent traffic accidents; and other traffic initiatives that are consistent with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy aimed at increasing traffic safety levels in order to preserve society and maintain national gains.
