The Police Music Band marked the International Day of Older Persons, observed on October 1 each year, by staging a musical performance on Tuesday during the event organized by the Emirates Heritage Club and the Family Development Foundation on the occasion. It is noteworthy that representatives from the Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD) took part in the event, held in the Heritage Village on the Breakwater in Abu Dhabi.

Lieutenant Fahed Al Hammadi, Musical Activities Branch Manager at the Music Section of the Police Schools Department at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ emphasized the keen attention of the Police Music Band to take part in the various societal and national events. “The participation of the Police Music Band in the International Day of Older Persons celebrations is an acknowledgement of the role of parents and grandparents in the development and prosperity of society,” added Lieutenant Al Hammadi.

The Abu Dhabi Police Band performed a number of national songs from its distinguished music portfolio, notably, Ali Khalifa Salam, DaryAlamha, Allah Ya Dar, Yal Emirati and Sir Bu Sultan, which were highly acclaimed by the audience and the elderly alike.
