Heads of anti-drug agencies in the Arab countries will be holding on Wednesday, their twenty sixth annual conference in Tunisia; chaired by the United Arab Emirates.

 The UAE delegation is headed by Colonel Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Federal Anti-narcotics Directorate, at the Ministry of the Interior.

The Tunisia-based General Secretariat of the Council of Interior Ministers; affiliated to the Arab League, noted in a statement, that the conference will tackle a number of topics, including the development of a typical guiding national plan to reduce the illegal supply and demand on drugs and psychotropic substances.

A number of meetings will also be held on the sidelines of the conference, for the procedural sub-working groups to combat drugs, divided into three groups, established on a geographical basis, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the neighboring Arab states in combating drug use, trafficking, and drugs smuggling across the border.
