The Anti-Narcotics Federal Directorate General at the Ministry of Interior celebrated the graduation of two specialized Anti-Narcotics Courses. The two courses, which were organized by the department in collaboration with the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) were held at the Sharjah Police GHQ and the Federal Police School, and attended by 49 officers, non-commissioned officers, and constables from the Anti-Narcotics Federal Directorate General and anti-narcotics units at the countrywide level.
Colonel Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director General, Anti-Narcotics Federal Directorate General at the Ministry of Interior, said that the courses reflect the department’s commitment to qualifying and training anti-narcotics personnel across the country, and providing them with the expertise and skills necessary to enable them to perform their duties to the fullest. “The courses also aim at boosting the efficiency of anti-narcotics’ personnel in order to keep pace with the many changes, developments and challenges of their work,” he noted.
Adding further, Colonel Al Suwaidi emphasized the valuable role of such courses in promoting the efficiency and competencies of anti-narcotics’ personnel, as well as in enhancing their performance, acquainting them with the latest developments in police work, and furthering and boosting their knowledge.
