Vehicle Run-off-road accidents have decreased in Al Ain city since the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan; in the last week of the month, four accidents have been reported compared to seven in the same period last year, according to Major Mohsen Saeed Al Mansouri, Al Ain Traffic and Patrol Chief who attributed this decline to the intense deployment of patrols.

He stated that the traffic circulation of Al Ain operates under an integrated plan carried out by the police to ensure traffic safety during the Holy Month of Ramadan by intensifying patrols in the traffic jams especially during breakfast and Taraweeh prayers. The intense patrols are also vigilant on roads throughout the day in order to provide a secure and safe atmosphere.

Major Al Mansouri urged drivers to drive slowly and to ensure that they are well rested before driving their vehicles; additionally he urged drivers to comply with traffic rules and traffic speeds and to pay attention for the sake of traffic safety during the Holy Month.

He finally called on parents and families to protect their children from run-over accidents by not allowing them to play and bike in the main road and sub-streets that witness a high passage of vehicles.
