The Department of Residence and Foreigners Affairs, Al Ain organized a blood donation campaign, in collaboration with the Blood regional Bank and Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, under the slogan "volunteering for community service".
The drive has attracted a large turnout of officers, non-commissioned officers, personnel and visitors.
This campaign comes within the strategy of the Ministry of the Interior and its role in serving the local community through the provision of various forms of humanitarian assistance and dissemination of health education among the staff.
Captain Khalifa Musabbah Al-Kaabi, Head Branch of Public relations and customer service at the Department stressed the importance of these humanitarian initiatives which they largely contribute to consolidating human values and promoting the concept of social solidarity, pointing out that the Department organizes blood donation campaigns on an ongoing basis throughout the year in collaboration with the Blood regional Bank.
There are a myriad of benefits to donating blood regularly. It helps increase the activity of bone marrow, stimulate blood circulation and reduce hemoglobin.
