The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense GHQ organized a blood donation campaign at its Headquarters, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Blood Bank (ADBB). It is noteworthy that a total of 39 officers, non-commissioned officers and civilians working at the GHQ took part in the campaign. This comes in line with the Civil Defense GHQ’s firm belief in the important role of humanitarian action and its keenness to take part in community-based initiatives. Notably, this gesture is crucial in saving the lives of people in need of blood; and raises the awareness among community members on the importance of blood donation to save the lives of patients.
This campaign reflects the societal responsibility of the Civil Defense GHQ, emphasizing the importance of blood donation as a noble humanitarian behavior to save the life of many patients who need blood transfusion. The campaign witnessed a significant turnout from officers, non-commissioned officers and civilians, led by Colonel Jassim Abdullah Hamid, Director of Human Resources Department; Colonel Rabih Ali Hassan bin Mualla, Director of Legal Affairs Department; and Colonel Mohammad Ali Schleck, Director of Firefighting and Rescue Department at the Civil Defense GHQ.
