An Emirati Youth (A.S.N, 17 years old), died in a horrible car crash today Sunday in Haza bin Sultan Road in Al Tawiyah area, in Al Ain. The accident happened when the young driver rammed into a water tanker due to over speeding, resulting in drifting his vehicle away. The driver was rushed to Tawam Hospital where he succumbed to death due to his injuries. The vehicle was also damaged because of the accident.

Colonel Hamad Nasser Al Baloushi Head of Peripheral Areas Traffic Department of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters called upon parents to keep a close watch on their children, and not allow them drive before obtaining driving licenses so that they won’t cause accidents that might have devastating consequences for them and other road users.

He urged the youth to adhere to traffic rules and regulations and not to drive recklessly which can lead to regret and loss of lives, noting that monitoring the driving behavior of the youth is a common responsibility among all society categories including the family, traffic police and educational institutions. He added that parents take the biggest responsibility in watching their children’s behaviors and actions.
