The Security Inspection Department (K9) at Abu Dhabi Police took part in the activities of the Eurasia Veterinary Conference, which was held in Vietnam for 5 days.
The head of the delegation, Major Said Al Kathiri, and Chief of Veterinary Services at the Department, indicated that the conference was supervised by experts from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Munich University, Germany. It included a number of scientific lectures in various fields, namely; modern diagnostic methods through X-ray imaging and ultrasound; means to treat heart diseases in dogs; lectures on infectious diseases in pets; blood transfusions; as well as gastrointestinal diseases in working dogs, and ways to treat them. The Conference also tackled the latest methods of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in cases of injuries and severe cases, in addition to the issue of the optimal nutrition for dogs. Results of a number of researches conducted in the field of veterinary medicine were also presented at the Conference.
It is noteworthy that the Abu Dhabi Police delegation included veterinary doctors Talha Al Badawi and Issam Al Din.
