The finals of the Ninth Ramadan Football Championship of Abu Dhabi Police GHQ Football sevens tournament kicks off tomorrow, Sunday. The competition, organized by the Sports Activities Department of the Strategy and Performance development Department, will be held on the Police Club stadium.
Eight of the 16 participating teams, representing the Ministry of Interior and the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ were qualified for the Finals. Winners of the first group were the Outer Regions Police Directorate team, and the Ports and Airports Security Department team. In the second group, the Special Tasks Department team and Al Ain Police Department qualified, ranking first and second respectively.
From the third group, both the General Directorate for Central Operations team and the Office of Deputy- Director General of Abu Dhabi Police team advanced to the next round. Winners of the fourth and last group were the The Government and Diplomatic Facilities Protection Department team and The Procurement and Depots Department.
In the first of tomorrow's games, Outer Regions Police Directorate team will meet the Special Tasks Department team; in the second game, the Ports and Airports Security Department team will face the Al Ain Police Department team.
