As a part of the Abu Dhabi Police Championship, the Ramadan Seven-a-side Football tournament kicked off at the Police Club Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The tournament is organized by the Sport Activities Section at the Strategy and Performance Development at Abu Dhabi Police, with participation of 17 teams.
Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior, acknowledged the keenness of the ADP leadership to communicate with its staff and develop their skills.
On the first day of the tournament, four matches were played. The Emergency team won against Al Ain team with a score of 4/2; the Special Tasks team won against the Forensic Evidence team with a score of 10/1.The Capital Police team won against the Operations team with a score of 2/1. The Security Information team won against the Crime Scene team with a score of 3/2 after securing the win in a penalty shootout that resulted in a score of 2/2.
