The Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing Department rescued two individuals who sustained injuries in a traffic accident that occurred near the “Hakl Sahil” region, in the Western region, Abu Dhabi. The air ambulance aircraft airlifted the injured to Madinat Zayed hospital in the Western region.
The Air Wing Section reported that the air ambulance aircraft was dispatched immediately from its Qasr Al Sarab Hotel station after the Operations Room received the notification call. As soon as the accident’s location coordinates were determined and the aircraft landed, the medical crew gave first aid to the two injured before they were airlifted to Madinat Zayed hospital in the Western region for further treatment.
It is worth mentioning that the Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing Department carries out numerous tasks, namely; providing first aid and medical care; aerial search and rescue operations; aerial photography; and road monitoring among other things. For this end, it resorts to state-of-the-art equipment and machinery used to rescue and give first aid to the wounded and injured.
