The Operations Room at Abu Dhabi Police received a total of 567 notification reports regarding traffic accidents that occurred due to foggy conditions. 281 notifications were received on Tuesday, 286 on Monday. The reported accidents took place in the streets of Abu Dhabi and on the external roads; and caused a number of minor injuries and traffic disruption.

This was announced by Lt. Colonel Nasser Suleiman Al Maskari, Director of Operations at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, who called on motorists to comply with the traffic safety initiative in extreme weather changes. The initiative, launched by the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate, in cooperation with the Security Media Department, the General Secretariat of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, urges motorists to exercise caution, drive carefully, reduce speed and stop their vehicles until the fog clears.
