As many as 14 sergeants have graduated from the Traffic Institute after finishing the 4th basic training course on' tasks of police traffic personnel'.
In attendance were Colonel Khamis Is-haq Mohammed, deputy director of Traffic and Patrols at Abu Dhabi Police, Colonel Khalifa Mohammed Al Kheli, director of Engineering and Road Safety Department, Lt Colonel Abdullah Salim Al Mahri, head of Traffic Institute Section.
According to Captain Fadhil Nasser Al Saidi, head of Administrative Support at the Institute, sergeants were trained on traffic law, and learned how to move to and view the accident scene, to write report, to sketch traffic accidents. They have also learned about the equipments needed for sketching a traffic accident, and how to record offences, etc.
He added: the goal of the course is to enlighten new recruits about the mechanism of traffic agencies operation on the road, focusing on the duties of the traffic departments nationwide and their responsibilities towards traffic problems to curb accidents and ensure road safety.
