The Department of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Al Ain partook in events marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which was held in the garden city of Basra, Al Ain and organized by the Abu Dhabi Transmission & Despatch Company (TRANSCO) in collaboration with a number of care centers of the disabled and government agencies in the city.
The public relations and customer service officers briefed the visitors to the pavilion, set up by the Department on this occasion, on the tasks and duties undertaken by the Department, and the finest services provided to the public. Souvenirs and healthy meals have been handed out to the visitors of the pavilion.
Organized also was an art workshop which included coloring, face painting, constructional games to help disabled children increase their mental activity.
Captain Khalifa Al Kaabi, Director of Public Relations and Customer Service Branch unlined the importance of participation in such community events which help familiarize the society with the skills and capabilities of people with disabilities.
