The seventh Technical Federal Program Course on disaster victims’ identification was held at the Victims Affairs Office’s Call Center in the emirate of Sharjah. A total of 17 staff members from the Ministry of Interior took part in the course with a view to boosting and maintaining full readiness as part the Ministry’s strategy to enhance society’s safety and security.
Lieutenant Colonel Raid Ali Al Muhairi, Director of the Victim Affairs Office at the Crisis and Disaster Management Department, the Directorate General of Central Operations of Abu Dhabi Police noted that the course focused on refining the technical skills of trainees in identifying disasters and mass casualty incidents’ victims, in addition to raising the efficiency of police bodies in dealing with crises, disasters, and emergencies.
The course included training on ways and means to receive inquiries and reports from the victims' relatives, the process of gathering information through a technical program including missing persons’ reports as well as details on the survivors that have been evacuated, the injured and the dead, in accordance with the data, procedures, and global protocol adopted by the INTERPOL.
Moreover, Lieutenant Colonel Al Muhairi attended the graduation of the participants who completed the course and handed them their certificates. He also urged them to exert further efforts in order to develop police work, improve their skills, enhance skills training for job readiness, , and gain more expertise in various areas.
