Major General, Nasser bin Al Awadi Al Menhali, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization Residency and Ports Affairs denied the information published by some newspapers about banning tourist visas for low-income visitors.
Major Nasser Al Menhali stated that all Naturalization Directorates operate according to existing procedures and mechanisms related to the issuance of a tourist visa for those wishing; as stipulated in the regulations known by all travel agents. He also criticized the untrue reports published by some media, based on unreliable and unofficial sources.
“Any modifications or new procedures implemented by the Naturalization directorates will be announced in advance, and the public will acquainted with it, either via the Ministry's official website or by the broadcasts of the Security Media Department in the various media”, he concluded.
