The Forensic Evidence Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Department for Security and Ports hosted 20 female students from the College of Sciences at the University of Sharjah to introduce them to forensic work and its role in criminal justice.
Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Police’s Forensics Department, met with the students in the conference room where he briefly explained the development stages that the Department experienced as well as the work and communication mechanisms between local and international universities and worldwide bodies.
Colonel Hassan Al-Housni, Department Deputy Director, attended the meeting, the students then visited the different department sections where they listened to detailed explanations about the work nature of each section, viewed the tests conducted at the forensic labs, and gained insight to their importance in criminal justice.
