The Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Abu Dhabi Police conducted a successful mock evacuation drill to extinguish a fire that broke out at the department’s headquarters. The procedures of evacuating employees and customers at the headquarters were successful.
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense General Directorate took part in the drill, as well as the Emergency and Public Safety Department, and the Information Technology (IT) Department at Abu Dhabi Police.
Colonel Hamed Muhammad Sharif, Head of the Environment, Health, and Safety team at the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, noted that the drill falls in line with the Abu Dhabi Police strategy that aims to implement highest safety standards, and to protect employees and customers by improving staff members’ readiness to address and prevent various incidents.
