MoI delegation visits the Abilities Development Centre for Special Needs in Abu Dhabi
A delegation from the External Relations Branch at the MoI’s Public Relations Department, visited the Abilities Development Centre for Special Needs in Abu Dhabi. During the visit, the delegation headed by Captain Saleh Al Dehaimi Al Ameri, External Relations Branch Manager, reviewed the programs, efforts and plans undertaken by the center, which provides services to people with special needs.
The visit reflects the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to reinforce communication, collaboration and coordination with the various civil society institutions, as well as to boost its efforts in support of people with special needs.
Hiba Hussein Ali, Administrative Supervisor, gave the delegation an overview of the center’s role in rehabilitating people with special needs, as well as the efforts exerted by the center’s officials to rehabilitate students with special needs of all ages.
The delegation was briefed about the Center’s achievements, especially regarding the implementation of the program to integrate children with special needs, as well as the educational, training, psychological and social activities, events and programs organized by the Centre to develop the skills of this important category, to adjust their behavior and raise their academic level.
A variety of cultural and recreational programs and activities were organized and symbolic gifts were offered to students with special needs.
The delegation included Lieutenant Ouhoud Al Mansouri; First Assistant Halima Alkhzimi, and the Main Administrative Wadha Al Mansouri from the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior.
