The Organizational Excellence Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior (MoI) recently discussed ways to develop the criteria of the MoI’s Award for Innovative Police Ideas during the ‘Innovation Lab’ workshop organized at the Abu Dhabi Police Officers Club.
Lt. Colonel Dr. Ali Al Ghafli, Head of the Organizational Excellence Department at the ministry, stressed the police leadership’s interest in the award, which aims to attract the best creative ideas and projects from all over the world, to serve the community and boost police performance.
Moreover, he pointed out that the workshop focused on developing the award’s criteria as well as the application form and its categories, to promote the exchange of best practices and creative ideas with the international police departments. This is to develop police and security work at the local and global levels, create a more competitive environment for security agencies and institutions, and build partnerships with the entities working in innovation and creativity fields.
During the workshop, the participants conducted brainstorming sessions and were divided into groups, to generate the most meaningful proposals and ideas. This was in preparation for studying and discussing the output with various related police sectors.
