The Law Respect Culture Bureau at the Directorate General of Community Protection and Crime Prevention at the General Secretariat of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior organized a legal lecture targeting a number of staff members at the Special Security Forces GHQ in Fujairah.

First Lt. Saif Rashid Al Hindasi from the Law Respect Culture Bureau pointed out that the lecture dealt with strengthening the legal culture among police recruits. It urged them to develop their legal capacity on a practical level, to enable them to acquire skills that will help them perform their job duties. The lecture also addressed various violations of the police behavior code, underlining the importance of abiding by these rules while in service.

Additionally, Al Hindasi noted that the awareness lectures organized by the Law Respect Culture Bureau always focus on the importance of consolidating the law respect culture in order to maintain positive behavior and professional and ethical practices among police staff members. “These lectures also aim to acquaint them with the various legal aspects which govern police work and legally and professionally determine their rights and obligations at all levels. They also aim to introduce the bureau and its strategic objectives,” he said.

On the other hand, and at the social level, some 50 female grade 3 students from Al Talee’a School for Basic Education in Remah, Al Ain, benefited from the lecture organized by the Law Respect Culture Bureau under the theme “The Optimal Use of Social Communication Means.”

First Lieutenant Abdullah Mohammed Al Muhairi, from the Law Respect Culture Bureau, briefed the students on the importance of respecting the law in all areas, notably when using social media; which is a double-edged sword. He promoted the positive side of it.

Furthermore, Al Muhairi explained the current importance of the World Wide Web “Internet” in accessing information, enhancing communication and saving time and effort. He highlighted its most significant pros and cons, which have turned the world into a small village. Finally, he warned young people against falling prey to ill-intentioned people.
