Law Respect Culture Bureau Educates Students about Positive Patriotism
As a part of its awareness programs, the Law Respect Culture Bureau, the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, organized a lecture titled “Values & Behaviors of the Emirati Citizen” for students of Al Refaa School in Al Hayer area in Al Ain.
In his address to students during the lecture, Captain Nasser Rashid Al Ka'bi, Chief of the Peripheral Offices Section at the Law Respect Culture Bureau, gave an overview of the positive patriotism concept. He said: “The positive patriotism notion bears a great significance and reflects the impressive cohesion in the Emirati society; as well as the spirit of cooperation between the people, which embodies the true meaning of patriotism.
The lecture tackled the mutual obligations and rights between citizens and society. Captain Al Ka’bi explained that the values and behaviors espoused by the Emirati citizens aim at nurturing a conscious generation of citizens who understand their responsibilities and duties towards their country, their family, and their community.
Captain Al Ka’bi stressed the need to adhere to the inherent values of the national identity, which reflect loyalty and belonging to the country. In conclusion, he commended the role of the family in inculcating respect for the national identity, patriotism and values in the young generation of citizens. He said: “Instilling the sense of loyalty in the hearts of children begins within the family, which reinforces their devotion to the country and their respect for customs and traditions.”
