A civil defense delegation from Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior reviewed the UAE’s experience in search and rescue missions and their usage of police dogs. 

The delegation visited the Security Inspection Department (K9) at the General Directorate of Security and Ports Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police. The delegation met a number of specialized officers who briefed the delegation on the team’s experience in search and rescue missions that are assisted by police dogs. They were also briefed on the internal and peripheral training that the team received.

The delegation viewed the yards where the dogs live, in addition to the veterinary clinics. They also learned about their clinical treatment and care methods. The delegation also witnessed some simple surgical operations at the clinic. Furthermore, the delegation attended a presentation put together by the Security Inspection Department, which featured a demonstration of dogs in search and rescue missions.
