Part of Police policy

 The human rights culture has become part and parcel of the Police strategy in the U.A.E. said Major General Saif Al Shafaar, Assistant Undersecretary to the Ministry of Interior for Security affairs, in a key note address at the opening secession of the seminar on Police and Human rights hosted by the Abu Dhabi Police

 The two-day activity, he said is an embodiment of the thought of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who was pre occupied with the dignity and respect for human beings. The Interior Ministry believes that there is no dignity for a country with no respect for human rights and freedom he said.

 The UAE Constitution guarantees all rights and liberties enshrined in Shariah, Universal declaration of human rights and our laws and culture said Brigadier Zayed bin Saqr Al Falahi, Director of Preventive Security department at the Ministry of Interior

 Colonel Abdullah Sahoa, Director of Police Officers Training Institute said the U.A.E. had since its creation strenuous effort to advance, promote and respect human rights and freedom under its constitution as per Universal declaration on human rights.

 Nationals and residents enjoy freedom of living, working and religious faith in U.A.E. and the Police had set up special units to look into complaints about right abuse. He added.
