The Emirates Women Police Association (EWPA) took part in the 53rd Annual Training Conference of the International Association of Women Police (IAWP) held in the United Kingdom and in the celebrations for its 100th anniversary.

Major Amina Mohamed Khamis Al Baloushi, Chairperson of the Emirates Women Police Association, highlighted the experience, achievements, and contributions that the Association has made in the realm of female police work. She emphasized the prestigious international status of the Association, noting that the achievements in police work and international participation significantly contribute to this stature.

“The conference discussed the ways in which to protect women from violence and children from abuse,” she said; while also noting that the conference included workshops to develop the policewomen’s skills and to provide further qualifications for them. The Chairperson of the Emirates Women Police Association also briefed the attendees on the vision and mission of the EWPA alongside their goals and achievements on local and international levels.

The president of the IAWP granted the Emirates Women Police Association a certificate of merit for its significant achievements and for being the largest association in terms of members worldwide.

A delegation of the EWPA participated in the events held to mark the 100th anniversary of the International Association of Women Police.
