Civil Defense Teams Extinguish Fire in Al Towayya, Al Ain

Civil Defense teams in Al Towayya, Al Ain managed to extinguish a fire that broke out in an Emirati citizen’s residential annex building. No lives were lost in the incident.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Saeed Al Niyadi, Head of the Civil Defense Department in Al Ain, said “that Civil Defense teams affiliated to the Department moved immediately to the fire site, after receiving notification from the Operations Room at 2:10 pm on Tuesday. The teams endeavored to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading.

Lieutenant Colonel Al Niyadi stressed the importance of abiding by safety and fire prevention requirements in residential buildings and facilities, and to abide by the guidelines issued by the Civil Defense and other entities to provide the necessary prevention measures so as to avoid the occurrence of domestic accidents.

The owner of the residential annex building visited the Civil Defense Station in Al Ain to express his thanks and appreciation to the Civil Defense staff members who took part in the operation. In turn, he received a commemorative shield from Major Muzaffar Mohammed Al Ameri, Acting Head of the Stations’ Section, in appreciation for his heartfelt gesture, which represents a moral support and incentive for Civil Defense staff members while discharging their duties.
