Center to help solve disputes

AL AIN In a bid to curb various social problems and crime, the Al Ain-based Social Support Center (SSC) has been declared operational to provide its services to the public.

The new facility " was established by the General Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police, to bring about amicable settlements to the different social problems that face the community,

"Major Ali Hassan Al Belsoushi, Director-General of SSC said

These problems include, "matrimonial conflicts, juvenile delinquencies, neighbor problems, runaways and beggary cases among UAE nationals, " he added.

The main objective of the center, he said, " was to solve these social problems peacefully and thereby help those facing it the hassle of going to the police or the courts,” He called on the public to, " refer the problems they may face directly to center or through any of the sections of the Al Ain police departments,"

The center, established under the patronage of General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Interior, is a part of a concerted effort to boost the social and humanitarian role played by the different law-enforcement bodies in the country.
