Capital Police to use SMS for traffic safety campaign
As part of the 28th GCC traffic week, the Abu Dhabi police is using Traffic awareness “SMS” services to further enhance the message of safety, in both English and Arabic.
Captain Nasser bin Khadim Al Ka’abi, Head of the Social Relations and Guidance at the Media and public Relations Department, said the aim of the SMS initiative was to diversify the methods of communicating with the general public and to enhance the messages of safety.
He said the ultimate aim is to raise traffic awareness standards, especially on lane discipline, abiding by speed limits and not jumping the red signal.
Traffic week activities were intensified yesterday with more visitors to Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi where a Traffic awareness exhibition is being organised.
