The Directorate General of Punitive and Correctional Establishments at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters organized a blood drive over the course of two days, in collaboration and partnership with the Blood Bank at the Health Authority - Abu Dhabi (HAAD). The drive witnessed significant turnout from officers, non-commissioned officers, women and civilians working at the Directorate General’s building.
The drive aims to strengthen the concept of social solidarity among community members adopted by the police leadership; to show the positive role of donating blood, which is a noble behavior and humanitarian duty, because it can potentially save the lives of people experiencing bleeding due to an accident or surgical procedure, and who need some blood to survive.
