In a statement he gave on the sidelines of the "Research and Rescue: Reality and Challenges" conference, Director General of Abu Dhabi Police Central Operations, Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi stressed that the conference comes as part of the Emirates’ search and rescue team preparations for the next phase of the international classification, under the UN umbrella.
He added that the UAE search and rescue team is the only qualified and accredited team on a state level as well as in the Middle East and Africa; and it has gained a great attention from the High Leadership.
He noted that the team is equipped with the newest and best means of search and rescue which enable its members to achieve their human tasks and missions; adding that the UAE is one of the leading countries to engage early in the professional work; in the field of search and rescue; according to international experts.
