The Directorate General of residency and Foreigners’ Affairs in Al Ain organized a week-long blood donation campaign, under the slogan “A drop of blood can save a life”. The campaign was organized in cooperation with the Regional Blood Bank.
A total of 140 officers, non-commissioned officers, civilians and clients of the Directorate took part in campaign. This comes in line with the Directorate’s keenness to promote community participation, and spread health education among its staff and clients. It also embodies the Ministry of Interior’s strategy and its role in the service of the local community.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Interior’s various sectors have always been keen to organize blood donation campaigns. This comes in line with its efforts to support humanitarian activities in the country and help in saving the life of many patients who need blood transfusion, and in cases of accidents and emergencies.
