Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, Director of the Criminal Evidence Department at the General Department of Security and Ports Affairs in Abu Dhabi Police, and a delegation from the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), discussed the set-up of a new technical protocol that defines responsibilities, authorities, and roles within technical inspections between the two parties.
The delegation included flight crash inspectors in addition to Eng. Mohammed Al Khayat and Ibrahim Al Adasi, which complements the efforts of the Victim Affairs Office Committee at the Crisis and Accidents Department.
Colonel Al Hammadi said: “The meeting included discussions on organizing specialty technical courses on criminal evidence for employees of Flight Crash Inspectors Unit. It also addressed the organization of other specialty courses organized by GCAA for criminal evidence, crime scene experts, and inspection officers in the flight crash sector.
