The Abu Dhabi Police GHQ marked the Isra Wal Miraj religious occasion with a religious lecture held by the Cultural Activities Section at the Sports Clubs and Activities Department. The lecture, titled "Lessons of Isra wal Miraj”, was held at the Police Officers Club, and given by religious preacher Hassan Al Dsouki from the Community Police Department.
Attending the lecture, were Colonel Aref Saif Al Shamsi, Head of Sports Clubs and Activities Department; Colonel Saif Al Shamsi, Head of the Cultural Activities Section; along with a number of officers and personnel.
Al Dsouki indicated that the Isra wal Mi’raj, also known as the night journey and ascension to heaven, is a single night journey that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) took from Mecca to Jerusalem where the Archangel Jibril (Gabriel) appeared to him and led him to receive divine instructions from God (Allah).
Moreover, Al Dsouki noted that the celebration held by Abu Dhabi Police aims to mark the greatness of God (Allah), and to commemorate the Prophet’s life (PBUH). Concluding, the lecturer explained the meaning of this divine miracle and talked about the Isra wal Miraj revelation.
