Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Security Geographic Information Systems Center, attended the First Forum of the Informatics Spider Network for Users, which was held at United Arab Emirates University Al Ain campus, in the presence of more than 400 participants ranging from IT experts and Internet users representing 56 universities and faculties in the UAE and GCC countries.
Lieutenant Mansour Suleiman Al Shamisi and the Expert Mohammed Al Termah Abdul Rahim presented a worksheet on geographical infrastructure and global best standards and practices. These standards and practices have been adopted in design and implementation leading to international awards for Abu Dhabi Police Geographic Information Systems Center.
The worksheet reviewed the importance of the geographic library supplement and the Geographic Institute for Modern Scientific Research in the field of Security Geographic Information Systems in favor of police work.
