The Crisis and Disaster Management Department at Abu Dhabi Police recently organized two training courses for the benefit of 60 staff members including officers and non-commissioned officers from various departments and relevant sectors. The courses, which were held at the training department’s headquarters at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, aimed at acquainting staff members with the proper ways to establish security plans and scenarios.
Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Nasser Al Kindy, Director of Crisis and Disasters at the Directorate General of Central Operations, indicated that the two courses focused on preparing security-based operational field exercises, in addition to implementing and applying unified methods.
Lieutenant Colonel Al Kindi stressed the importance of such courses to provide employees with further knowledge, develop their skills, and acquaint them with the fundamental techniques and methods that are applied while carrying out field training. He also noted that participants were provided with samples of security scenarios, in order to discuss the proper solutions. He added: “The courses also included practical classroom applications, related to development of plans and security scenarios and preparation of field training exercises.”
