The Traffic and Patrols Directorate at the Directorate General of Central Operations of Abu Dhabi Police received pilgrims’ buses returning to the UAE after completing their Hajj journey to the Holy Land through the Al Ghuwaifat Border crossing. This comes in line with a comprehensive plan to provide traffic safety for them as well as advice and awareness leaflets as they head to and from the Holy Land.

Major Suhail Sayah Al Mazroui, Chief of the Western Region Highways Section, indicated that the awareness teams at the directorate have congratulated the pilgrims on their safe return home and called on bus drivers ferrying pilgrims to adhere to the designated legal speeds, to take all necessary precautions; and to be extremely cautious especially while traveling at night or in the early hours of the morning, where they should always pay attention and reduce speeds.

For his part, Captain Abdul Rahman Al Ali, Public Relations Branch Manager at the Highways Section in the Western Region, noted that the team has provided pilgrims with advice and awareness leaflets and urged them to pay attention, reduce speed and leave sufficient safe distance between vehicles especially during foggy conditions, then distributed gifts to them. This was highly acclaimed by the pilgrims who praised this kind gesture form the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.
