The Female Inmates Branch at the Al Wathba Section, affiliated with the Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department at Abu Dhabi Police, organized a creative and artistic event under the theme “Pottery Drawing”.
The event, held under the supervision of the Correction and Rehabilitation Branch, aims to enhance inmates’ creative skills, and invest their time with purposeful activities, including drawing on pottery. The event began with a tutorial video, to teach the inmates how to choose the appropriate shapes and sizes of pottery; the drawing methods and the use of the proper brushes and colors.
The female inmates expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department for organizing such artistic recreational events that contribute to changing their routine lifestyle. These events also promote harmony between inmates, and relieve stress and negative behavior, and help to refine and develop their artistic talents. It is worth mentioning that drawing is an expressive method that helps people relieve tension and anxiety, and change any negative behavior.
