15 staff members from the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters completed a specialized course on “Computer and Internet Incidents Initial Response Skills”. Organized by the Training Department at General Directorate of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police, the course was held in Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with the US Department of Homeland Security.
The course included a host of topics pertaining to criminal sciences, processes and procedures. It also acquainted participants with the best practices, and the basics of the Internet.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Colonel Thani Butti Al Shamesi, Head of the Training Department at Abu Dhabi Police; and Mr. Bill Rutten, from the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Office at the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi. Also attending were a number of trainers from the Cyber Crimes Center at the US Department of Homeland Security in Washington, DC.
The course’s topics tackled the search and investigations methods, and ways to process digital crime scenes. The course also shed the light on the best practices to collect digital evidence and document crime scene searches.
