"Social Support" participates in "Sorry! I am a Girl" Campaign
The ADP Social Support Center in Al Ain has participated in the awareness campaign organized by the Girls Social Education Home of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Sharjah, under the theme "Sorry! I am a Girl". The Center staff has delivered a series of guidance lectures.
The 10 lectures were delivered by a number of social specialists at the Girls Home. The number of targeted girls was 1365 female students from the College of High Technology, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain University and some students from Al Ain Educational Zone schools. 1373 guiding rolls with different titles, such as "Mom debate with me, Come closer to me and 10 indispensable steps in dealing with teenagers".
The participation was part of the Department of Social Support Centers Department at ADP keenness to communicate with different institutions in order to enhance the concept of community partnership. IT also assists in spreading awareness among community members on several topics to provide security and reassurance in the community.
The campaign issues concentrated on self making, self pride, personal characteristics and the most appropriate steps to achieve goals.
The lecturers spoke about feminine nature, her role in life, enhancement of positive aspects of girls, protecting them against delinquency and the problems that girls face during adolescence and how to deal with them.
