Vehicles impounded for reckless driving
Patrolling intensified in Abu Dhabi
The Traffic and Patrolling department of the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police have intensified its campaign to make the Ramadan moth totally a safe month free of all kinds of accidents and traffic violations.
The Police have noticed an increase in traffic violations and accidents due to over speeding and reckless driving .Col.Gaith Al Zaabi, Director of the department said the number of patrols on the street has been increased since the beginning of Ramadan to control violations.
He said 24 vehicles have been impounded during the one week for over speeding and the driver held for a week. The campaign will continue and no reckless driving will be tolerated, he added.
