Colonel Othman Yousef Al Thamami, Deputy Director of emergency and safety department of the Abu Dhabi police opened the training workshop on a newly received advanced vehicles and equipments for handling hazardous materials.
This includes safely handling hazardous chemicals, poisonous gases, and fluids like spillovers on roads which pose a heavy danger to the public health and safety he said on the occasion.
A group of 23 national police personnel’s will be trained initially by a group of Germen experts, who are working with the emergency department. The training will go on till September 6th.Lt.Al Salehi who is coordinating the training said one such vehicle will be stationed in Abu Dhabi and the other in Al Ain.
