Over speeding may lead to the arrest of the motorist and confiscation of the vehicle as traffic and patrol department of Abu Dhabi police intensifies a campaign to bring down the rate of traffic accidents by booking the reckless drivers.
Captain Engineer Ahmed Husain Al Harthy, head of the traffic management and road safety section of the Abu Dhabi police traffic and patrol division warned that any reckless driver who breaks the traffic safety laws will invite arrest and confiscation of his vehicle
.He said that speeding is the main cause of accidents. New technology to identify the speedsters has been put to use since last week, he added.
