Secret operation set up by Sheikh Saif himself
His Highness Lt.Gen Sheikh Saif, the Minister of Interior has set up a secret strike operation nicknamed as operation 24caret to test the reaction capabilities of the Abu Dhabi police was conducted successfully to its desired objectives.
The entire story goes like this. Sheikh Saif has formed a group of smart police personal
to act as would be thief’s whose goal was to strike at one of the jewelries, in the gold center at Madinat Zayed shopping complex.
The operation as per the plan was conducted yesterday by midnight just before closing its business hours. The entire operation was known only to him and the owner of the shop with whom Sheikh Saif sought complete confidentiality.
The shop owner was very pleased to cooperate and bear the inconveniences of the operation, as it was done for their own benefit and test the operational capabilities and security coordination of the security forces including the private securities posted at the mall itself.
The special group as per the plan made the strike at midnight yesterday and also held one person as their hostage while trying to complete the robbery and to stop any one acting against them during the operation.
No sooner the incident was noticed by the ever vigilant police, the central operation reacted sharply to the emergency and the challenges it posed and reached the spot fully prepared for any eventuality in no time and rescued the hostage and detained the supposed to be thieves with no causalities reported. The central operations department coordinated the entire operations while sheikh saif himself watched the whole episode.
After the successful completion of the entire operation only that others knew that it was a secret operation intended to judge their capabilities. The entire plan of operation was kept unto himself as lack of confidentiality might have affected real situation judgment.
After the operation was completed, Sheikh Saif appreciated the police team who reacted to the challenges thrown to them by him. He also thanked and appreciated the owner of the shop for his cooperation with the entire operation.
Sheikh saif later said that the success of this plan shows that the Abu Dhabi police is ready round the clock for facing any eventuality and all those who have any bad intentions must seriously take note of it and refrain from any such mischief’s
