New Hospital for Abu Dhabi Police Personnel to be ready by 2010
 
 
The General headquarters of Abu Dhabi police is planning to set up an ultra modern hospital for its personnel’s which is expected to be completed by 2010.
 
 The construction of the hospital will be supervised by Abu Dhabi Company for Health Services, in coordination with Engineering Projects Department at Abu Dhabi police GHQ.
 
Brigadier Salim Ssaleh Al Juneibi, Director of Medical Services at ADP Directorate General of Finance & Services said that the design of the new hospital will be in line with international standards. The hospital will be having general medicine clinics, specialty clinics, emergency section and wards for admitting patients. It is an important addition to health and medical facilities in the country.
 
The project is being set up under the directives of HH Lt.Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zyed Al Nahyan, the Minster of Interior. Brigadier Al Juneibi said that the execution of the project is progressing according to the plans. The company now carries out necessary studies for all the facilities that will be included in the project. On the completion of the study the project will be submitted to the authorities concerned.
 
Medical treatment at the new hospital will involve fees. This is within the privatization framework of medical services in UAE. The charged services will include all non-police personnel who are under medical insurance cover.
 
According to Brig. Al Juneibi, added that the Medical Services facilities of the police received in 2007 257,776 patients, of these 188,253 visited central clinics. X-Ray clinic received 27,211 patients, the laboratory received 35,903.
